The 1930's. The American era of Prohibition, but not the era you know of. World War 2 ended in only three years and America is at it's most prosperous, the Great Depression avoided altogether. What changed in this time line that had such a drastic change on the world? Alchemy; an old man simply known as the "The Alchemist From The East" came to the American government with a deal; he would bestow upon this nation with technology several years ahead of their time in return that he could conduct one experiment, an experiment that would be unknown to anyone but himself. America agreed to this shady deal and thus ushered in a new era of technology.

Primitive yet advanced technology was born; portable phones, sleeker and faster cars, more efficient machinery, cable and weaponry. This new technology gave America a vast upper-hand over many nations, including Germany and Japan, which allowed them to end WW2 swiftly. Because of this, America had become the most dominant nation in the world, with countries all scurrying at it's feet to trade and do business, desperately attempting to gain the secrets of their newfound technology. Business was booming. Movie theatres, phone companies, car manufacturers were having the time of their lives.

There was no better place to start business than America. But this created a huge class gap; the financial classes were now "lower, upper and upper". You were either a rich fat-cat or a poor rat barely making ends meet. So people began turning to crime to work their way up the food chain; prostitution, drug trafficking, boot-legging and even assassination. Not to mention mafia families busted out the gate, clawing at whatever territories they could obtain, trying to scrape as much cash together as possible. Now came in the corrupt politicians, vultures who picked on the weak and stole whatever they could get their greedy hands on. "Era Of Prosperity" was now a bull-shit term; this was an "Era Of Greed", where cops were almost as fucked-up as the criminals they were supposed to be catching.

But, what of that alchemist? He left, disappeared without a trace, never to be found again. But his experiment? Oh, it's still around, alright. Taking an Elixir Of Life, a potion of immortality, he distributed it in 20 wine bottles. Where did he send it? Well, the heart of where all this crime and corruption lied; the beating center of greed, gluttony and treachery. New York City, where you either made it big or died small.

Now, these immortals, these criminals, these politicians, these cops and all the people in between are clashing together in a huge commotion. A stupid ruckus where those of pure souls and those of black hearts ram together in a mash of morals, feelings and actions.
